StratiCore was founded in January 2008 by a group of executives who, working together for the past five years, recognized the need for a company focused on the unique challenges of specialty markets. StratiCore's mission is to help our manufacturing clients make better decisions during the commercialization process and help agencies win business and remain on the cutting edge of strategy.

Senior Management Team

Alona Amsel, MPH

    Expertise

    Ten years in the pharmaceutical care sector, particularly in consulting, healthcare investor relations, and private equity.

  • Areas of expertise include: Commercial opportunity assessments and lifecycle planning, managed care strategy development (including contracting strategy), pricing analyses, patient flow, and pharmacoeconomic modeling.

Experience

Research Analyst with the Analytica Group, conducting pharmacoeconomic analyses to determine cost-effectiveness of various products at different stages of development and patient flow analyses.

  • Strategic consulting (with True North Partners, Insight Strategy Advisors, Publicis Healthcare Communications Group’s Medical and Scientific Affairs) for multinational pharmaceutical companies, with ongoing challenges in both commercial and managed care marketing and development.
  • Analyst with Thomson Financial Carson in the Life Sciences Group, working with senior management of public biotechnology companies to assist them in developing and refining shareholder bases, working with their lead bankers during follow-on offerings and IPOs to understand generally held perceptions about the companies and gain interest from investors.

Education

  • MPH in Cancer Epidemiology from Columbia University and BSc in Psychology from McGill University.


Heather Hamilton, MBA

Expertise

  • Eighteen years in the pharmaceutical sector with experience in sales, product management, advertising, medical education, and consulting for a variety of therapeutic categories.
  • Areas of expertise include: new product marketing, strategy development, and launch planning, market opportunities/situational analyses, managed care strategy development, lifecycle planning, extension strategy and development of commercialization platforms (global and U.S.).

Experience

  • Nine years of strategy consulting and research, focusing on oncology and biotechnology for Insight Strategy Advisors and Publicis Healthcare Communications Group’s Medical and Scientific Affairs. Field sales for asthma/allergy and biooncology brands for Schering-Plough. Product management for mature oncology product facing a highly competitive environment for Schering-Plough. Global and U.S. brand development and development of advertising tactics for oncology, HIV, and sepsis products while at Harrison & Star. Strategic brand management of Pharmacia oncology franchise while at Advanced Therapeutics Group.

Education

  • MBA in Finance and BBA in Marketing from the University of Connecticut.


Stephen Huber, MS

Expertise

  • Over 20 years of oncology experience. Sixteen years at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in pharmacy management, clinical pharmacy practice, pharmacoeconomics, and research. Member of the clinical pharmacy faculty at University of Houston College of Pharmacy. Publications in journals including Hospital Formulary, American Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmacotherapy, Annals of Internal Medicine, Seminars in Oncology, and Cancer.

  • President, Medical and Scientific Affairs, Publicis Healthcare Communications Group. Executive VP and Oncology Practice Leader, Medicus Group, CEO of Health Answers Medical Education Division and President of Cortex Communications. Deputy Division Head, Pharmacy Division, Director, Pharmacy Patient Care Services, and Director of Pharmacoeconomics at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy, University of Houston College of Pharmacy. VP of Pharmacy and Director of Clinical Pharmacy Servicers, Lifemark Pharmacy Management.

Education

  • BS in Pharmacy and MS in Hospital Pharmacy from the University of Houston. Completed two-year American Society of Hospital Pharmacists-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Houston.

  • Over 35 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry on both the industry side of the business and as a senior executive overseeing a diverse portfolio of global healthcare communications companies.

  • Chairman and CEO of the Publicis Healthcare Communications Group Worldwide. Executive Vice President of the newly formed Publicis Healthcare Communications Group. Chief Strategic Officer at the Medicus Group. President, Medicus Global Medical Education, working to expand the U.S. education business globally. Founded Discovery International, a business focusing on Medical Education. Head of commercialization and product management at Abbott Laboratories.
